Colwick FFC took part in the above today along with Foremark, Kirby and Leicester clubs. Teams of 8 bar Leicester who were one short.

The day was fine, quite windy at times and a mix of sun and cloud. Many set off for Rainbow Corner, others fishing the open water in the middle and several on the far bank from Dunns down to Cornfield.

Generally speaking those who caught fish took them on Black and Green, although earlier in the day they were certainly going for red in the way of a red ribbed cruncher for Rosemary and Hilary took one on a red Hopper on floating lines. However that did not last and the way forward for most was a Di 5 or similar with black and green lures pulled fast for two who were fortunate to take their 8 fish. Keith and Kezz found fish down at Toft Shallows in the afternoon for a while, the water did become very coloured later. Draycote bank to Rainbow corner were probably the most productive places to be. A few fish lost and follows aplenty at times but not enough to give us a good score. Well done to all who took part, tighter lines next year!
