  6. Shared a boat with Kezz this morning and ended up with 8 fish, most of them caught on a Red Cruncher & Dial bachs fished on a slow glass in Brownie deeps. Kezz didn't seem to be in the mood today not fishing to his usual high standards, I think still coming to terms with our poor performance at Draycott.

  9. colwick fished steady yesterday me catching 9. it looked good with 7 boats being out .i was fishing the natural side of things (sick of lure fishing ) buzzers with red cheeks. my pink head damsel caught me some fish but most productive was the washing line with hare's ear spiders on the droppers missing more than i caught.....

  12. Caught 2 lost 2 & broke twice. My boat partner David boated 5 and lost 1. BUT - on probably 7 different flies. Small rusty coloured spiders / nymph types had most interest and chap out today caught 2 lost 2 on small orangy brown nymph. Massively frustrating and we certainly didn't crack it. But a good day out and 7 to the boat is not a bad day. Not the fish because they were there all afternoon and definitely feeding but on stuff so small you couldn't see it even when they rose within feet of the boat. Am going to tie some small fiery brown things for Sunday????

  13. Ta Jed, comments appreciated.
One funny moment with Allan when his yellow floating line was stretched out across the water to a distant point and a rainbow jumped over the line two feet from the boat; I swear it arched it's head towards us and smiled.

  15. As Kez says some great top of the water sport with classic dry fly takes and not a lure necessary. If fish are not easy to locate go on the drift. With no one else fishing u have plenty of space!?
