Please remember to complete the log to the side in the Lodge to assist other anglers, particularly non regulars, Thank you.

Thursday 28th March; very cold and dry, mainly overcast [Montaddy reports]

During morning over 4 hours took 6 fish; 4no fishing booby, 2no fishing montaddy on intermediate line.

Sunday and Monday 17th and 18th March [Jed reported]

Sunday temperatures not too bad with rod average 5+; Monday colder with rod average 4+; South bank not producing last year's slaughter. Most fish caught deep and slow on black and green or orange blobs or boobies. Some taken on buzzers/daiwl bachs or even missionarys. Fish seemed to lift 4/5 foot off bottom at warmest part of day "switching on around 1.30 to 2 pm. Fish have generally spread further with both sides of point producing. Two anglers took 18 on the Sunday off the North bank [rainbow deeps side].

Saturday 16th March; cold [Jed reported]

  2. Troutmasters final at Grafham

It was a day of if only, If only I had gone to the boils earlier. I had 3 pulls in 5 cast and had a 4lb 10oz and a 3lb 8oz and then ran out of time, it was windy again so we were moving quite quick. If only I had caught one fish from the bank I would have finished in the top ten according to how they do the scoring, I went down to the car park near the dam and fished off the rocks facing G buoy into a strong wind but I did not feel safe so I walked to the dam, I had one good pull and missed it, that's fishing I guess. The winner who's name I forget (an England international) won easily with 8 off the boat and 7 off the bank, no one was any where near him. Biggest fish was over 7lb. Lots of anglers blanked so I can't complain as I think I was just outside the top 10.

  4. CFFC fished Draycote on Sun 10 June, a nice warm day, very bright & calm, best bags were Kezz fishing in Rainbow Corner mostly with a Di 7 and single Pitsford Pea, he took 7 fish (one superb 5lb.5oz taken on a cruncher on the top.) Rosemary fished a floater in Toft Shallows and took 8 fish on Black Buzzers, crunchers and one on a PTN, Keith fished a Di 3 and Orange Blob to take 5, many more missed and several follows again in Toft. Great day and superb quality fish. Go there!

  5. Fished Colwick today and as on the last two occasions I have fished, I have had action on a Slow Glass line with a small pink Humungus on the point and a Green Pea on the dropper. Plenty of fish there and great that we can still get a boat. 10am - 3pm

  12. Sorry Kez. 14 today 10/04/2014. Many on my copy of your nomad. Nymphs & buzzers in Buzzer Bay and off point. Then 3hrs off model boat club boom for another 8. Lost perhaps another 6-8 and no end of hits not sticking. Faster jerky retrieve between 20 - 36secs down depending on cloud cover. Weather probably the best its been so far this season - quite warm with a lovely ripple and a lot of fish rising through the day.
