Eyebrook results and report

The result is:-

John Parnham     5 Fish       11lb   00oz

Ron Madden       2 Fish        5lb    05oz

Kezz Saxton         2 Fish        4lb    04oz

Tom Morton        2 Fish        3lb    10oz 

Keith Prowting    1 Fish         2lb    02oz

 

We welcomed new CFFC member Ron fishing with us for the first time and his first day at Eyebrook, only sorry he could not enjoy The Eyebrook at its best!

 

The day started windy but drifting was ok and John and Rosemary picked up 2 fish each drifting down towards The Willows. Soon the water coloured up and the wind became a problem.

 

Are we mad I asked myself many times today, wind?? A gale more often than not so much so that with a drogue we were drifting too fast for the line to go down at all and Anchors just would not hold.

 

Keith and Kezz gave up the struggle at 3pm and fished off the bank for a while. Ron and Tom also went in about 3.30ish. John and Rosemary were Nutters and continued for a little longer! However it did just pay off with some more fish. Certainly the hardest fishing for quite some time. We caught mostly on Orange Blobs, FABS and Rosemary had one on a Black Flashback Diawl Bach fishing with either fast glass, intermediate or in the end a Di 5 sweep.  

 

Best fish was a lovely over wintered Rainbow caught by Rosemary.
