Well done to Kev Saxton
The main news of the week has obviously been our 2014 Autumn Open competition. We had 29 anglers competing for their names on the winners board.
105 fish were caught through out the competition giving a competition rod average of 3.62 which certainly helped our weeks rod average of 3.63.
The earliest weigh in was Boat 35, Ian Ritchie & Ian Gaskill who arrived at the jetty with their 6 fish at 15:20, they were closely followed by boat 12, Brian Shields & Bob Fitzpatrick at 15:27. Both boats therefore gained a 1lbs bonus to add to their total bag weight.
All of the other boats weighed in at 17:15 and once the weights were recorded the winners were announced! See photos below for more details of the winners and click here for all the results.
A mention should go to young Ben Jacks (age 14) who used an 8'6" rod on a 5 weight line. Some of the best casting we have seen, a great young talent.
We hope to see you all fishing before the end of the season and we will be announcing the Spring Open date next week.
Thanks for all the support given to this years competitions and special thank you to Tony Higton & John Wilson for organising both competitions.
