Colwick Fly Fishers at Foremark Sunday 8th June

Colwick Fly Fishers at Foremark
Sunday 8th June

Shall we say an interesting day that turned out to be hard fishing for most.

However, Keith Prowting found it easy taking his 8 fish in no time at all and he went on to release 9 more all caught using a Di 3 sweep line with a Montaddy on the point and a Heineken (version of a Damsel) on the dropper. All but three were taken on the Montaddy. These were all caught in Carvers Arm. Kezz Saxton fished with Keith, did everything the same and struggled to get 7 fish during the day. John Middleton took five cracking fish using mostly black buzzers on a floating line, 3 of his fish caught again in Carvers Arm. He had the heaviest fish of 3lbs 11oz and two more of a similar size, giving him a total bag weight of 15lb. Tom Morton managed 5 too, the rest of us came in with 2 or 1 each. Our rod average was 3.9.

Kirby FFC fished too and Martin Brown was their top rod with 7 fish for 13lb 13oz. Wayne Lewin having the heaviest fish at 3lb 13oz. Their rod average was 1.8

Some good quality fish.

Hot off the press following our Club meeting tonight!

Colwick is fishing its head off, Kezz taking 20 and Jed 16 today all on Buzzers. All excellent hard fighting fish. Hope to see more of you there. Where will I be tomorrow morning!
