Outing to Pitsford 6th October 2013

Such a beautiful place but again we found the fishing very hard! Not only us , the England youth team were there for a coaching day and they all struggled too, so I guess we were in good company.

Having been told that the fish were generally in the top two feet of water, I for one started with a floater, followed by a slow glass and then a di3, then a di5 ending with a di7 sweep on which I had two fish, sadly though i lost the best looking one at the net. Keith managed 2 on a di3 sweep to start and then 2 0n a di5; montaddy taking the fish.

Kezz had 4 on a di7 sweep with a sean dickie, his weighing a little more than keiths therby winning the match.

Best fish was a superb brownie at 4lb 14oz caught by John P, he only had the one but well worth it.

Pike were in evidence too, Keith caught 2 and Kezz had an 8 pounder.

Next and last outing Colwick on 20th October, please support your local fishery, let Paul or Rosemary know if you wish to come.
