Midgetip reports:
Firstly our outings organiser must be blessed with amazing foresight! The 3 days we have fished have been cold but not the diabolical weather of late! Many fisheries were closed last Sunday and Monday.
8 Of us fished Blithfield, 6 catching their limit and some then releasing more, much to the frustration of Kezz and Rosemary who did not make their limit. Kezz though did manage the best fish on the day. The quality of fish was superb and very much better than I remember in past years, all fully finned and fighting superbly.
Needless to say with the cold weather and a frost in the morning the majority fished sinking lines and black and green was probably the overall favoured colour on the day. Having said that Keith went on to catch and release using a floater with a long leader with a black nomad on the point retrieved very slowly. A number of fish were caught on diawl bachs too.
